In Chinese medicine, we are all born with a “jing bank” or a certain amount of energy for life. All of our systems decline as we age. The quality of our blood isn’t as vibrant as it is when we are young, our circulation isn’t as strong, our digestive system declines and doesn’t assimilate as much nutrients from our food, and so on… Through diet, exercise and things like acupuncture, you can increase your bank account of lively qi (energy). This said, you can get acupuncture for nothing in particular; it’s like a tune up for your body! Acupuncture is widely known for using thin (one time use, mostly sterling silver needles) to stimulate the energy in specific points, which run in channels, and are interconnected to the entire human system. Besides needles, during a treatment, Brittany will use many different therapies such as:

  • Topical ointments

  • Fire Cupping (think: Michael Phelps)

  • Gua Sha (scraping method)

  • Moxabustion (burning of mugwort to warm, move and tonify blood)

  • Electric Stimulation (e-stim)

  • Tui na (chinese medical massage)

  • Chinese herbs

Brittany also works as a missionary acupuncturist, traveling and volunteering in clinics around the world annually where standard healthcare isn’t so standard.  She also volunteers time in NYC providing NADA (National Acupuncture Detox Association) acupuncture in homeless shelters and methadone clinics.

She specializes in chinese herbs and strongly believes in the synergistic approach between acupuncture and herbs in treatment. Brittany offers reiki, crystal healings, breathwork, imagery, yoni steams, tarot and astrology readings, and custom jewelry.  She believes that a mix of these healing modalities is best at bringing you closest to your true self, helping align you with the surrounding world, and in turn, helping you achieve your personal pursuit of heaven on earth.
